William Powell Barwell and his bride, Kristin Suzanne Leskow, are at home in Kenmore after a trip to the Adirondack Mountains. The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Michael J. Leskow and the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Barwell, all of Tonawanda, were married Sept. 7 in the gazebo at Kotecki's Grandview Grove, where a reception was given. West Seneca Town Justice Wallace C. Piotrowski performed the ceremony.

Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church was the setting Aug. 24 at 2:30 p.m. for the wedding of Melissa A. Meyer and David A. Leaskey Jr. The Rev. James R. Bastian of St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church heard the vows of the daughter of Robert and Joanne Meyer of Lake View and the son of David and Colleen Leaskey of Blasdell. A reception was given in Lake Erie Italian Club before the couple left for Toronto, Ont. A graduate of Millard Fillmore Hospital School of Nursing, the bride is a registered nurse in Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital. The bridegroom, an Erie Community College graduate, is employed by Industrial Power & Lighting and is a volunteer with Woodlawn Fire Company.

Brian M. Nixon and his bride, Adrienne DiSciascio, are at home in Byram, N.J., after a trip to Nassau. The daughter of Richard and Bernadette DiSciascio of Byram and the son of William and Kathleen Nixon of Andover, N.J., formerly of Hamburg, were married Aug. 10 at 3 p.m. in St. Mary Catholic Church, Wharton, N.J. The bride is a summa cum laude graduate of Centenary College. The bridegroom was graduated from Rutgers University College of Engineering and is a software engineer with Ariel, Cranbury, N.J.

Thomas G. Hedges and his bride, Trena L. Williams, are at home in Kenmore after a trip to the Thousand Islands and Montreal. The daughter of Salvation Army Major Robert Williams and Mrs. Williams of Cary, N.C., and the son of Patricia A. Hedges of Town of Tonawanda and the late Robert L. Hedges were married Aug. 10 by the bride's father in Cathedral of the Pines, Rindge, N.H. A reception was given in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Larry Griffis in Jaffrey, N.H. The bride attends University at Buffalo and is employed by Independent Health. The bridegroom, a Navy veteran, attended UB and is employed at Praxair.

At home in Buffalo are Ralph E. DiChiara Jr. and his bride, Sherri A. Godfrey, who were married Aug. 24 in Holy Angels Catholic Church. The Rev. Anthony F. Rigoli performed the ceremony for the daughter of Dewey and Kathy Godfrey of Lockport and the son of Ralph and Elizabeth DiChiara of Buffalo. A reception was given in Joseph's Country Manor and Grove before the couple left for Clearwater, Fla. A graduate of Lockport High School, the bride is retail manager for the Structure Division of Limited Corp. The bridegroom, a McKinley High School graduate, is a security guard with DeBartolo Management Services Inc.

Sharon L. Farley, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert F. Farley of Clarence, and Gary W. Shank, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Shank of Amsterdam, Ohio, were married June 29 in Lovely Lane Chapel, Epworth by the Sea, St. Simon's Island, Ga. The Rev. Carlton Burnett, a Baptist minister, performed the ceremony. A reception was given in the Island Club. The couple are at home in Atlanta, Ga., after traveling in Colorado.
