Two grandchildren of veteran baseball manager John McNamara were shot to death by their father, who then turned the gun on himself as his wife watched, police in Sacramento, Calif., say.
The youngsters were identified as Tory Watkins, 6, and his 4-year-old brother, Tyler. Their mother, who was not injured, is Peggy McNamara Watkins, 40, the retired manager's daughter, authorities said.
Monroe Watkins, 35, was an unemployed bakery worker.
Police said McNamara Watkins told her husband Thursday morning that she was leaving him.
"He told her she had ruined his life, and that he was going to shoot the two boys and himself, and that she was going to watch," Police Lt. Joe Enloe said.
