Bob Geldof's ex-wife was arrested on drug charges and said she had been framed, a tabloid reported.
"Somebody must have planted them," the Daily Mirror quoted Paula Yates as saying, citing unidentified police sources.
Scotland Yard would confirm only that a 36-year-old woman was arrested in Chelsea, the neighborhood where Ms. Yates, 36, lives with INXS lead singer Michael Hutchence. The woman was released on bail.
Police raided Ms. Yates' home last month and said they found a cache of opium. Ms. Yates was in Australia with Hutchence and their infant daughter at the time.
Geldof, who organized 1985's Live Aid charity concerts, sought custody of their three daughters after the raid. But the former couple agreed last week to share custody.
