Martina Hingis, the 16-year-old Swiss who has fast become one of tennis' rising stars, won her first WTA tournament title, beating Anke Huber, 6-2, 3-6, 6-3, in the $450,000 Porsche Grand Prix.

Hingis, who rose to No. 10 in the rankings for the first time last week, will go to ninth when the new rankings are released today.

Hingis showed great poise against her 21-year-old German opponent, dictating the rhythm early to win the first set in 30 minutes.

Huber, ranked No. 5 in the world, took advantage of Hingis' errors to win the second set, but the youngster regained her composure in the third set to capture the title.

Elsewhere, Fifth-seeded Boris Becker won his first tournament since June on Sunday, beating unseeded Dutchman Jan Siemerink, 6-4, 6-7 (7-9), 6-2, 6-3, to take the $800,000 CA Trophy in Vienna, Austria.
