Two Russian cosmonauts left the Mir space station Thursday for a five-hour space walk, leaving their American colleague at the controls.
Yuri Onufrienko and Yuri Usachev replaced an instrument pack to Mir's outer shell and conducted experiments, Interfax news agency said.
The two also filmed the second part of a Pepsi advertisement alongside a giant model of a Pepsi can. The first part was filmed during a space walk last month.
Pepsi won't say exactly how much it paid the financially strapped Russian space agency to film the commercial, set to air next year, but said it was part of a seven-figure deal.
American astronaut Sharon Lucid controlled the spacecraft, monitored the cosmonauts' life support systems and filmed the ad.
