In an April 14 editorial on the salaries of University at Buffalo professors, The News gives the impression that the average pay for full professors is representative of the pay of all full-time faculty.
Indeed, it speaks of full-time male professors earning an average of $82,000, and it doesn't even always use the ford "full." Surely, The News is aware that "full" is not the same as "full-time."
Full professor is the highest university rank, and lots of us are associate and assistant professors and earn far less than the average of $82,000.
