Track and field's ruling body says its random drug test of star runner Butch Reynolds should not be construed as harassment.
"He has not been singled out," Istvan Gyulai, general secretary of the International Amateur Athletic Federation, said.
"The goal of our policy is possibly to have everybody in the so-called top 20 undergo unannounced testing."
Reynolds answered a knock at the door of his suburban Westerville, Ohio home Sunday and was greeted by IAAF officials. They asked him to submit to a random drug test. He complied, and the results are not expected for a week or so.
