WOMAN, 81, SEEKING TO LEAVE CAR ROBBED OF PURSE, LIFE THREATENED

An 81-year-old woman was robbed of her purse early Friday afternoon as she attempted to get out of her car at a convenience store on South Park Avenue, South District police reported.

"Don't holler or I will kill you," the robber said after he pushed the woman down to the car seat, according to police reports.

The suspect then grabbed the woman's brown purse and ran west down Amber Street about 12:40 p.m.. The purse contained $110, two Social Security checks for $188 and $340, and the woman's driver's license.

South District police identified the victim as an Amherst resident.

The incident took place at the Wilson Farms, 1971 South Park, according to police reports.
