Victor A. Betts Sr., 90, of Christiana Street, North Tonawanda, died Thursday (March 30, 1995) in Mount St. Mary's Hospital, Lewiston, after a brief illness.
Born in Uxbridge, England, he lived in Wilson for 35 years before he moved to North Tonawanda.
He played in the Salvation Army Band for many years and was a member of Exley United Methodist Church in Wilson.
Betts retired from Chisholm-Ryder Co. in Niagara Falls in 1984 after working there for more than 60 years.
Survivors include two sons, Victor A. Jr. of Lockport and Douglas of Wilson; two daughters, Bertha Callow of Clinton Township, Mich., and Beatrice Eberwein of North Tonawanda; a sister, Lucy Inrig of Hamilton, Ont.; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday in Hamilton and Clark Funeral Home, 270 Young St., Wilson.
