SAWED-OFF SHOTGUN LEADS TO ARREST OF 2 IN CAR

Two young men were arrested early today after Kensington Station police said they found a sawed-off shotgun in their car.

Rashem Austin, 19, and Michael Cureton, 20, both of Wyoming Avenue, were charged with weapon possession in the 5 a.m. incident.

Police said that as they were approaching the car, parked near Fillmore and Rockwell avenues, Austin reportedly opened the driver's side door and told the officers the car would not start. At that point, police said, they spotted the shotgun.
