June Bruno, 49, a former operator of craft shops on Grand Island and in Williamsville, died Thursday (March 30, 1995) in her Grand Island home after a long illness.
A native of Niagara Falls, the former June Antonucci was a graduate of Niagara Falls High School and Roberts School of Beauty.
Mrs. Bruno owned and operated Gazebo Gifts on Grand Island from 1981 to 1993 and All Things Nice and Natural in Williamsville from 1990 to 1992.
From 1992 to 1994, she worked with Kreations Gifts, a craft cooperative with locations in the Walden Galleria, Summit Park and McKinley malls.
She also worked for Expressions Hallmark Card Shop on Grand Island and TLC Hallmark Card Shop in Niagara Falls from 1984 to 1986 and in the Buffalo Merchandising Division of American Greeting Card Co. from 1986 to 1987.
Mrs. Bruno was public relations director and an active member of the Cinderella Garden Club.
Surviving are her husband, John A. Sr.; two sons, John A. Jr. of Racine, Wis., and Joseph R. of Amherst; a daughter, Jody R. Chadima of Niagara Falls; her mother, Vincenza "Jenny" Tumeo Antonucci of Niagara Falls; a sister, Frances Young of Grosse Ile, Mich.; a brother, Raymond Antonucci; and a grandson.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 9:15 a.m. Monday in St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 1413 Pine Ave., Niagara Falls. Prayers will be said at 8:30 in Spallino-Amigone Funeral Home, 1300 Pine Ave., Niagara Falls.
Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Niagara Falls.
