JUDGE PUTS OFF HEARING ON RETURN OF KOOPMAN

Anita DiGiulio Marvin and Luciano "Dilly" Spataro's efforts to get William Koopman back in Buffalo to overturn their murder convictions will have to wait.

A hearing on their motion has been put off until at least May 22.

State Supreme Court Justice Joseph S. Forma put off a previously scheduled April 17 court appearance for Koopman and warned attorneys for the two imprisoned murderers they and not local taxpayers will have to pay for Koopman's return.

Spataro, 61, and Ms. Marvin, 47, were convicted in 1991 of the contract killing of Robert DiGiulio. He was shot in the head as he stood in the driveway of the couple's Amherst home.
