Two men have been arrested on sex charges after they were indicted by a Niagara County grand jury for allegedly having sexual contact with underage girls, sheriff's deputies said Thursday.
Thomas D. Lockwood, 31, of 8800 Niagara Falls Blvd., Niagara Falls, was arrested for the second time in less than two months on indictments here and Chautauqua County, Niagara Falls Detective Alan Brooks said.
Lockwood was arrested this week after he was indicted by a grand jury on first- and second-degree sexual abuse charges and on two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, Brooks said. He is accused of having sexual contact with a 14-year-old girl in the LaSalle area of Niagara Falls over two years ago, Brooks said.
On Feb. 10, Lockwood was arrested on second-degree rape, second-degree sodomy and endangering the welfare of a child charges after he was indicted by a Chautauqua County grand jury. He was accused of having sexual relations with a 12-year-old girl last July at Lake Chautauqua, Brook said.
Delton Provorse, 33, of 2933 Upper Mountain Road, Lewiston, was indicted on counts of second-degree rape and one count each of second- and third-degree sodomy and second- and third-degree sexual abuse which he pleaded innocent to in County Court on Wednesday, Niagara County sheriff's inevstigators Sheila Haley and Edward Garde said Thursday.
Provorse is accused in the indictments of having sexual relations with a 13-year-old girl in the Wheatfield area more than three years ago, Investigator Haley said.
