New football coach Craig Cirbus will speak and introduce his staff at the University at Buffalo Quarterback Club's Spring Camp luncheon April 18 at UB Stadium.

The event will start at 11:30 a.m., with lunch to be served at noon. A tour of the stadium will follow.

BASEBALL: The annual Buffalo Bisons Season Leadoff Luncheon, sponsored by the Greater Buffalo Partnership, will be held April 7 at noon at the Hyatt Grand Ballroom. The first 20 tables reserved will have a player or coach assigned to them. Call 852-7100, ext. 458, for reservations.

BASKETBALL: Tryouts for juniors and seniors in high school for the William-Emslie Family YMCA Coca-Cola Shootout will be held Saturday and Sunday 4-6 p.m. at the Y. The Upstate Summer Developmental Basketball League's Albany Shootout is seeking entries for its 34-team tournament to be held April 7-9 at the University at Albany. Call 882-3693 for information. . . . Tryouts for the Police Athletic League Basketball Championship (ages 17-18) will be held Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at Lanigan Field House. BILLIARDS: The $1,000-added Western New York 9-Ball Championship, the 11th stop on the Empire State Tour, will be held April 22-23 at Classic Cue Billiards & Cafe on Transit Road. The format through the finals is Race to Seven, double-elimination, alternate breaks with Texas Express Rules. The entry fee is $75. Final registration is April 22 at 12:30 p.m., with competition starting at 1:30. Qualifiers run April 18-21 with a $10 entry. For more information, call 684-4644.

FITNESS: A Healthy Kids Day program at the Ken-Ton YMCA will be held Saturday from noon to 3 p.m., with activities such as youth fitness testing, family aerobics, an obstacle course, relay races, water games and a Tae Kwon Doe demonstration. Call 874-5051 for information.

GOLF: The Amherst Golf Classic to benefit the Amherst Youth Board will be held May 22 at Transit Valley CC. Cost is $140, or $70 for the nine-hole tournament. Call 839-9587 for details. . . . HANDBALL: The City of Buffalo Invitational Handball Championship, with a field of 26 players from Canada, New York, Pennsylvania and Ohio, will be held Saturday at the Knights of Columbus Courts on Delaware Avenue. Competition begins at 10 a.m.

ICE HOCKEY: Tryouts for the West Seneca Mite Minor travel team (players born 1987-88) will be held Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. at the town rink on Union Road. Call 626-0154 for information. . . . LACROSSE: An informational meeting for the seventh Western New York Lacrosse Association's summer youth program will be held April 13 at 7 p.m. at the ECC South campus, room 5102 in building 5.
