The Brothers of Mercy Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, 10570 Bergtold Road, Clarence, is looking for men and women who like to "putter."
"What we really need are several people who enjoy doing little jobs such as touch-up painting, small plaster repairs and fixing furniture nicks," said Dennis Krolczyk, plant operations director.

The Erie Country SPCA, Tonawanda and Angola shelters, needs volunteers to help with public relations and special events throughout the year. There are family events as well as SPCA appearances at community activities. Volunteers are welcome to choose their level of commitment. The center works with more than 400 physically, mentally and emotionally disabled riders.
