PRISON SENTENCE GIVEN TO CONVICTED DRUG DEALER

A man convicted of dealing drugs was sentenced to 2 1/2 to 7 1/2 years in prison Wednesday.

Lamar Chambers, 47, no address available, was sentenced by Orleans County Judge James Punch.

Chambers was found guilty of one count of third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance and two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Tried in January, he was arrested in January 1994 after selling cocaine to a police informant.
