MAN HUNTED IN BEATING OF WIFE

Police today were seeking a man who they said beat his estranged wife for the second time this year after breaking into her apartment early Wednesday.

The 24-year-old victim told Detective Alan Brooks that her estranged husband broke into her apartment at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday and assaulted her, choking her until she became unconscious, police said. She was treated in Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center, Brooks said.

Ronald J. Bobb, 25, of Ontario Avenue had been arrested previously and charged with second-degree assault and first-degree unlawful imprisonment for allegedly attacking and injuring her in her apartment Jan. 1.
