A fight outside a bar on Ohio Street injured one man and led to the arrest of three others.
Wayne Pendergrass, 30, of 358 West Ave. is accused of tossing Anthony G. Workman, 33, of Ruhlman Road out of Rose's Bypass Inc., throwing him to the ground and into the side of a parked van, and then kicking him when he fell to the ground.
Workman may have suffered a broken hip or back, according to Officer Bruce Smith. He was still being treated and evaluated in Lockport Memorial Hospital this morning, a hospital official said.
Pendergrass was charged by Officers Paul Beakman and Shawn Kilroy with second-degree assault.
Two of Pendergrass' companions also were arrested after a disturbance while he was being taken away by police, Smith said. Everett Pendergrass, 35, a brother, of 246 Clinton St. and Mark A. Gross, 36, of 2394 Hartland Road, Gasport, were charged with disorderly conduct. Everett Pendergrass also was charged with resisting arrest for allegedly fighting with officers.
