JOSEPHINE ROSE MASLACH

A Mass of Christian Burial for Josephine Rose Maslach, 87, a former nanny and domestic worker, will be offered at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Hyacinth's Catholic Church, 295 Lake Shore Drive East.

The Mass will follow prayers at 9:30 in Richard Mackowiak Funeral Home, 56 E. Doughty St.

Mrs. Maslach, a native of Dunkirk, died Wednesday (March 29, 1995) in Brooks Memorial Hospital after a long illness.

In addition to her work as a nanny, she had been employed by the defunct VanRaalte Corp. in the manufacture of lingerie.

She was a member of St. Hyacinth's Church and was president of Wreath of Unity Branch 229, an insurance organization for Polish women.

Surviving are three daughters, Alice Klajbor, Carol Kozlowski and Sandra Tapasto; two sons, William and Richard; four sisters, Irene Shupe of Erie, Pa., Louise Matuszak of Fredonia, Mrs. Clarence Klienert of Toledo, Ohio, and Rosalie Kuzdzal; a brother, Leonard Schultz of Oregon, Ohio; 11 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
