WILLIAMSVILLE BOARD SETS APRIL 10 BUDGET HEARING

The Williamsville Village Board has scheduled a public hearing for 7:30 p.m. April 10 on a proposed budget that would raise general fund taxes for the first time in four years.

A village tax rate of $5.28 per $1,000 of assessed valuation, up from the current $5.07, is projected in a $2.2 million general fund budget for 1995-96, officials reported Tuesday.

The last hike in the general fund rate occurred in 1991-92, when it jumped from $4.69 to $5.07.
