Town of Hamburg residents will pay the same fees as last year to play golf on the town course this year, but non-resident senior citizens and youths face an increase.
Fee schedules approved by the Town Board call for all non-residents to pay the same flat, non-resident adult fee as last year. In some cases that will result in an increase. A weekday nine-hole round of golf will cost $12, instead of $10 for seniors and youths.
The resident rate will remain at $6.50 for adults and $5.50 for seniors and youths.
Season passes will cost $375 for all non-residents. The old rate was $300 for non-resident seniors and youths.
The town also hiked the fees for baseball and softball league teams by $30 to $80 for residents and $130 for non-resident teams. However, if the coach is a member of the National Youth Sports Coaches Association, $30 of the fee is waived.
Another significant increase is for indoor lacrosse for senior high teams, to $150 from $75. The increase brings them into line with what floor hockey teams pay, according to Martin Denecke, assistant recreation director.
