JERAULD M. DOMINSKI SR.

A Mass of Christian Burial for former Air Force Staff Sgt. Jerauld M. Dominski Sr., a mechanic, will be offered at 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Peter's Catholic Church, 620 Center St., Lewiston. Burial will be in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Lewiston.

Dominski, 53, of Ditch Road died Monday (March 27, 1995) in Newfane Inter-Community Memorial Hospital after a long illness.

He was born in Niagara Falls and attended Lewiston-Porter Central School. He had been a Gasport resident for 13 years.

He was employed as a mechanic for Union Carbide Corp. and Gross Plumbing & Heating Co., both in Niagara Falls, and recently at Relco Trucking Co. in Lockport.

He was a Vietnam veteran, serving in the Air Force from 1963 to 1975 as an aircraft mechanic. He also served in Thailand, Japan and Korea. He received the Air Force Commendation Medal in 1974 for jumping into the water to rescue a drowning soldier.

He is survived by his wife, the former Rita Smiszek; a son, Jerauld M. Jr. of Virginia Beach, Va.; six stepsons, Joseph Manning of Moorehead City, N.C., Scott and Tony Motes, both of Oklahoma, Brian Motes of Texas, Todd Motes of Fort Mead, Md., and Shane Motes of Charlotte, N.C.; a brother, Ronald; a sister, Barbara Luzak; and one granddaughter.
