Congress made a drafting error in legislation on Medicare supplemental insurance last year that allows insurance companies to sell some unnecessary, overlapping health benefits to Medicare users, warns the United Seniors Health Cooperative, a non-profit consumer organization. To help explain the benefits of, and differences between, Medicare and commercially available Medigap policies, it is offering a special report, "1995 Medicare and Medigap Update: How to Be an Informed Consumer of Health Insurance." For a copy, send $1 to: USHC 1995 Update, 1331 H St., NW #500, Washington, D.C. 20005-4706.
