The Lancaster Town Democratic Committee has endorsed Councilman Robert Giza for supervisor.
Giza, the executive director of the Lancaster-Depew Boys and Girls Club, announced his intention to run for the town post in January. He has served on the Town Board since 1981.
The Democratic Committee also endorsed two newcomers to elective office for two seats of the Town Board. Donna Stempniak, a Buffalo teacher, has never been elected to public office although she has served on the town Planning Board for 17 years.
Terry McCracken, a bus driver for the Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority, also is seeking a four-year term as a Lancaster councilman. McCracken is a life-long Lancaster resident.
Town Clerk Robert Thill and Town Justice Timothy Dwan, both incumbents, have been endorsed for re-election by the town Democratic Committee.
