FALLS MAN IS GIVEN UP TO 6 YEARS FOR DRUGS

A Niagara Falls man, who pleaded guilty Sept. 22 to a reduced charge of fifth-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance, was ordered to serve two to six years in prison Tuesday by County Judge Amy J. Fricano.

Duane S. Mays, also known as Duane Allen, 26, of 35C Southgate, was accused of selling cocaine to an undercover police officer in Niagara Falls on April 20.

In a separate case, Judge Charles J. Hannigan sentenced Charles A. Swanson, 39, of Niagara Falls, to serve six months in Niagara County Jail, concurrent with another jail term ordered by Pendleton Town
Justice Lee F. Klein.

Swanson, of 920 Depot Ave., pleaded guilty March 3 to a reduced charge of petit larceny stemming from the November 1992 reported theft of a 1985 car owned by Elizabeth B. Shedd and possession of a 1986 car owned by Arthur Ceccato in January 1993, both in
Niagara Falls.
