31ST ANNUAL CONFERENCE PLANNED BY URBAN LEAGUE

Cultural diversity will be the theme of the Buffalo Urban League's 31st annual equal opportunity conference from 8 a.m. to noon April 12 in the Buffalo Convention Center.

Gary R. Weaver, professor of International and Intercultural Communications at American University in Washington, D.C., will be the keynote speaker.

Other speakers participating in a panel on equal opportunity will include: Crystal Barton, principal of McKinley High School; Lana Benatovich, executive director of the National Jewish Conference of Western New York; Paul Cassidy, president and general manager of WKBW-TV; and Richard Clark, regional director of the state Division of Human Rights.

The league, located at 15 E. Genesee St., is accepting reservations for the conference.
