A songwriter has won a restraining order against country singer Lynn Anderson, his former lover.
But Anderson said she and mentor Ralph Williams are trying to work things out.
"Court order or not, we've been going to dinner and those sorts of things," Anderson said Friday. "It's hard to legislate against love."
Williams denied it.
"We are not together. I've been trying to live in peace," he said. "She's in another world."
Williams won the order of protection after telling the court that Anderson has plagued him with harassing telephone calls and threats since their 12-year relationship ended a year ago.
Both are due in court today for a hearing on extending the March 17 order beyond Wednesday.
