HEARING TO AIR CONCERNS ON PROLIFERATING AGENCIES

City residents' concerns about oversaturation of their neighborhoods with human service agencies and the need to continue to find locations for such agencies will be the subject of a hearing Tuesday.

The hearing at 1 p.m. in the County Legislature's committee room, 25 Delaware Ave., will focus on a proposed county panel on the subject.

Legislator Joan K. Bozer, D-Buffalo, chairwoman of the Legislature's Mental Health Committee, said 40 percent of the group homes in the county are on the West Side, with many in her district.

Mrs. Bozer said residents are seeking a moratorium on agencies locating in the area and county intervention.
