DIME'S MORTGAGE UNIT GETS STATE TRAINING GRANT

The state Urban Development Corp. has issued a $35,000 grant to help train employees at the Dime Savings Bank mortgage servicing operation here.

Assemblyman Charie Nesbitt, R-C Albion, said the funds will be used to introduce employees to new equipment and methodology in connection with the bank's expanding loan service unit occurring as part of the merger between Dime Savings and Anchor Bank. Dime Savings will spend $117,717 for trainee wages and benefits.
