ONTARIO MAN ARRESTED; FOUND WITH STOLEN PURSE

A Fort Erie, Ont., man was arrested at 2:40 a.m. Saturday when he was found with a purse that was stolen from a St. Catharines woman at Unc's Bar at 223 Ferry Ave.

Wayne M. Barnhardt, 41, was charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property after he was spotted with the purse near an alley in the 600 block of Main Street, Officer James Tedesco said.

Barnhardt was located after the woman said her black leather purse was removed from a pinball machine at Unc's. She told police the purse and its contents were worth $75, Tedesco said.
