Services for Charles C. Kinsey, 70, of Holley-Byron Road, past president of Clarendon Fire Department and a veteran of World War II, will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Disciples United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery in Holley.
Kinsey died Friday (March 24, 1995) in Rochester General Hospital after a three-month illness.
Born in Portville, he had lived in the Clarendon area for 42 years.
During World War II, Kinsey served in the 382nd Combat Engineers, 7th Army. He was a training instructor during the Korean War.
Kinsey served as president of Clarendon Fire Department for nine years.
Surviving are his wife, Dorothy; three daughters, Gloria Kinsey, Carol Ryan and Paula Carpenter; two sons, Charles of Holley and David of Albion; three sisters, Lettie Johnston of Olean, Berdena Schesser of Glendale, Ariz., and Carol Lee of North Carolina; a brother, John; 19 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.[hdkns]
