Renowned opera baritone Sherrill Milnes will present a master class at 2 p.m. April 8 on the University at Buffalo North Campus, Amherst. A deadline for submission of an audition tape, to include participant's name, telephone number and title of selection, should be received by the Greater Buffalo Opera Company (135 Delaware Ave., Suite 102, Buffalo, N.Y., 14202) by Friday. Interested participants should also call the company at 852-2072. Those chosen will be notified by phone. Participant admission is $50, or $20 general admission. A reception will be held with Milnes after the class.

Auditions

The Towne Players will audition for a late May vaudeville show from 7 to 9 p.m. April 10 to 12, in the Thomas Edison School, 236 Grayton Road, Town of Tonawanda. Genesee - Orleans Regional Arts Council will hold auditions for 10 male and 10 female parts for "Night of January 16th," a courtroom drama by Ayn Rand, from 7 to 10 p.m. next Sunday and April 3 at the Go Art ! , 304 E. Main St., Batavia, and from 7 to 10 p.m. April 4 in the Medina Chamber of Commerce office, 433 Main St., Medina. Bristol Valley Theater, 151 S. Main St., Naples, will hold auditions for its upcoming season from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, at 111 Knickerbocker Drive, Pittsford, N.Y., and from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, at Finger Lakes Community College, Room B 355, 4355 Lake Shore Dr., Canandaigua. Interested persons should prepare two contrasting monologues, of no more than two minutes each, and bring a resume and photo. American singers between 18 and 30 have until April 9 to enter the American Berlin Opera Foundation scholarship competition. Artists 18 years and older residing within a 250-mile radius of North Tonawanda are being sought for "Figuratively Speaking," a regional exhibit sponsored by the Tonawandas' Council on the Arts which begins June 4.
