A Mass of Christian Burial for Donald A. Beverage, 78, a retired boat builder, will be offered at 9:30 a.m. Monday in St. John's Catholic Church, Severna Park, Md.
Beverage, who moved to Maryland in 1961, died of a heart attack Thursday (March 23, 1995) in his Severna Park home. He will be buried in Crestlawn Cemetery, Marriottsville, Md.
A native of Camden, Maine, he was employed from 1944 to 1961 in design and production at the Richardson Boat Co., North Tonawanda.
He later was employed as vice president of Owens Yacht Division of Brunswick Corp. in Baltimore and as a prototype developer at Revel Craft in Arnold, Md. He retired in 1988 from the Coast Guard Yard, Curtis Bay, Md., where he was project and program manager in charge of developing the Coast Guard's 41-foot Utility Boat.
He was a former member of the Buffalo Yacht Club.
He is survived by a daughter, Theresa Sheldon, Geneva, Ohio; two sons, Donald of Adamstown, Md., and Steven of Severna Park; and six grandchildren.
