April 7 is the last day for Erie County residents to order trees, shrubs and wildlife packets from the Erie County Soil & Water Conservation District for spring planting.

"So far, we have had orders for 40,000 trees and shrubs," said Keith Tharnish, the district manager.

Also offered are fertilizer tablets, tubes to protect the young trees from gnawing deer and rabbits and bluebird nesting boxes.

Order forms may be obtained by calling or visiting the district office at 50 Commerce Way, East Aurora 14052.
