CBC Companies, represented locally by Credit Bureau Services of Upstate New York, will provide credit data through Freddie Mac's new automated mortgage underwriting service, Loan Prospector. Loan Prospector uses computer technology to evaluate borrower credit worthiness and assess collateral, permitting lenders to transmit basic loan application data within minutes.
Dunlop Tire Corp. has introduced the SP 40A/S, a 60,000 miles, "S" rated all-season radial designed for a full range of mid to full-size domestic automobiles, van and mini-vans. The introduction will see Dunlop's first "40-Day No Hassle" Consumer Program where any retail customer who is not completely satisfied with the purchase of the tires, can return them for a full refund.
White Directory Publishers Inc., publishers of the Talking Phone Book, has enhanced its free audio information system with "Smart Tips." The feature consists of consumer information codes at the beginning of yellow page headings. Consumers can select free information designed to help buyers decide which product or service to purchase. Smart Tips will appear in the books published this summer.
Susan L. Petrella and Associates, marketing, public relations and special events management consultants, has been chosen by Canisius College and the Family Business Institute to manage the first annual Western New York Family Business of the Year Awards. In the fall, she will present "Start-Up Business Issues for Women and Minorities" through Millard Fillmore College. And, Ms. Petrella has begun writing the new "Women and Money" column for Business First.

PremCom Corp. in Amherst, in partnership with Alltel Corp., has installed a voice and data-based communication system at the Westbury United Methodist Church in Meadville, Pa. Alltel installed a new Meridien telephone system. And, PreCom has has recently completed the installation of local area networks (LANs) in 13 Child & Family Service locations throughout Western New York.
Buffalo Hotel Supply Co. Inc. and BHS Design Group, its Albany division, have been awarded contracts totaling $1.5 million for the design and furnishing of Grand'Vie Adult Home in Rochester; Niagara Falls Country Club; Rochester Psychiatric Center; and the NCO Club in Fort Drum. They also have been awarded contracts totaling $1.2 million for the following facilities: Schenectady County Glendale Home; St. Clare's Hospital, Van Rensselaer Elementary School; Berkshire Farm Center in Cannan; and Wingate at Dutchess in Fishkill.
Buffalo mortgage banker Holliday Fenoglio & Monte Inc. has arranged $5.45 million in financing for a retail center in Kingston. The 58,000-square-foot center is anchored by a Shop Rite grocery store and includes a Red Lobster restaurant and a First National Bank of the Hudson Valley branch on two outparcels.
