2 TEENS PLEAD GUILTY IN SEPARATE BURGLARIES

Two 17-year-old boys, accused of separate burglaries during November and January, pleaded guilty to reduced charges Friday in Niagara County Court.

Steven C. McCarthy of 4840 Middleton Drive, Lockport, pleaded guilty to third-degree burglary and attempted third-degree burglary stemming from Jan. 3 break-ins at the Allenview Drive home of Gordon Rignel and the Jennifer Drive home of Jody Barry, both in Lockport.

McCarthy, who will be sentenced April 26 by Judge Amy J. Fricano, was charged Jan. 6 with two counts of third-degree burglary in connection with those cases.

Peter A. Wolcott of 1778 Lockport-Olcott Road, Burt, pleaded guilty to one count of attempted third-degree burglary and will be sentenced April 25 by Judge Charles J. Hannigan.

He was arrested on two counts of third-degree burglary in connection with a Nov. 1 break-in at the Seafood Bar and a Nov. 13 burglary at the Olcotta Clothes Horse, both Olcott businesses.
