LANCASTER MAN CHARGED WITH ATTEMPTED BREAK-IN

Four Depew police officers teamed up early today to arrest a Lancaster man accused of trying to break into DeVille Motors, a used-car dealer at 5822 Transit Road.

Officer Joseph Lucarelli, while on routine patrol, heard an alarm at that address and discovered a large hole in one of the building's windows shortly before 5 a.m.

Lt. Steven Hoffman and Officer Robert Davis spotted a suspect in a nearby yard. Following a chase by several officers, Officer Frank Fusani apprehended the man hiding under debris on a Harvard Avenue porch.

Adam D. Wells, 25, of Broadway is charged with attempted burglary, criminal mischief and trespassing.
