Paul Schroeder of KVS Information Systems Inc. in Williamsville and Brian Pavlock of the state Real Property Services Division conducted a public information session Thursday on the Town of Hanover revaluation project.
About 35 persons turned out for the meeting, which was held in the Silver Creek School cafeteria.
KVS was hired by the town to revalue property at a cost of approximately $170,000. Schroeder said the first phase will involve data collected from residents. A data collector will visit each home, examine the inside, take measurements of the outside and make note of any additional structures on the property.
Residents will receive a notice in the mail when the data collectors will be coming to their home. Work is expected to begin within the next few weeks and continue into July.
Schroeder said data collection will start in Silver Creek and continue into Forrestville and then Hanover. The beachfront properties probably will be done sometime in June or July.
