The Buffalo and Erie County Botanical Gardens, 2655 South Park Ave., will hold a Gardening Information Day from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. Speakers will discuss pest control, summer bulbs, herb gardens and hosta. Demonstrations, exhibits, soil testing and garden plants and supplies also will be offered. Call 828-1040 or 632-8069.

District 8, Federated Garden Clubs of New York State, is sponsoring a landscape design workshop at 9 a.m. Thursday at the Clarence Town Park clubhouse. Shrubs, water gardening and winter landscaping will be discussed.

Channel 4 Meterologist Don Paul will discuss "Weather and the Gardener" at 7 p.m. Thursday at Cornell Cooperative Extension, 21 S. Grove St., East Aurora. This is the first in a nine-week lecture series on gardening and animals. Call 652-5401.
