Lewiston-Porter product Barry Dunstan singled in the winning run in the bottom of the seventh inning Thursday as Fredonia State rallied from a six-run deficit to post a 7-6 victory over Union College in Fort Myers, Fla.

Jason Zanni belted a three-run homer in the third for the Blue Devils. In the nightcap, Westfield (Mass.) State pounded the Devils, 9-3. Bryan Bean (LaSalle) had two doubles and two RBIs for Fredonia State (4-6).

SOFTBALL: Deanna Hunt (Gowanda) scattered four hits and struck out five in Buffalo State's 8-0 victory over LeMoyne in Fort Myers, Fla. Kelly Bley had three hits, including a pair of triples, for the Lady Bengals. In the second game, Tufts tripped Buffalo State, 6-3, in six innings. Cheryl Isbrandt (Cheektowaga) had two hits, two stolen bases and two RBIs for the Lady Bengals (5-5).

Tufts also clubbed Hilbert, 16-0. The Lady Hawks (2-4) then dropped a 7-5 decision to Macalester (Minn.) College. Michelle Kolb had two hits and two RBIs for the Lady Hawks.
