MAN SHOT ON EAST DELAVAN IS IN GUARDED CONDITION

A man who was shot twice early Wednesday while walking near an East Delavan Avenue railroad overpass by a suspect who then fled along the train tracks, has been identified by Genesee Station police.

Louis Goforth, 41, of East Delavan, was shot while walking in the 300 block at about 4:45 a.m., according to police reports. The gunfire came from the overpass.

Goforth was listed in guarded condition Wednesday night in Erie County Medical Center, where he was being treated for gunshot wounds to the back and stomach.
