JOSEPHINE M. LENOX

A Mass of Christian Burial for Josephine M. Lenox, 80, was offered today in St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church.

Prayers were said in McMahon Funeral Home. Burial was in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Cheektowaga.

Mrs. Lenox died Monday (March 20, 1995) in her Hamburg home.

The former Josephine Heary was born in Dunkirk, moved to Buffalo in 1940 and began working at American Optical.

She married J. David Lenox in 1946 and gave up her job to raise a family after 1948.

At St. Martin's Church, she was currently the recording secretary and was a past president of the Altar and Rosary Society. She served as an officer in the church's senior citizen organization and was a past president of the St. Martin's Mothers Club. She and her late husband also were active in Scouting.

Surviving are a son, John H. of North Boston; four daughters Maxine Schutt of West Seneca, Pauline A. Callan of East Amherst, Nancy Debo of Blasdell and Carol Fuszara; a sister, Grace Waite of Westfield; and 14 grandchildren.
