A Mass of Christian Burial for Joseph Black, 94, of Salamanca will be offered at 9 a.m. today in St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 111 River St. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.

He died Monday (March 20, 1995) in Salamanca Nursing Home after a brief illness.

Born in North Pine Grove, Pa., he was employed by Ford Motor Co. in Woodlawn and Lorain, Ohio, for 37 years before retiring in 1966.

Survivors include his wife of 65 years, the former Sophia Fronckowiak; three sons, Thomas of Buffalo, Joseph of Bethesda, Md., and Donald; two daughters, Christine Meyer of Westons Mills and Patricia Dahlke of Buffalo; 23 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.
