GRAND ISLAND MAN CHARGED AFTER CHILD FOUND OUTSIDE

A Grand Island man was arrested Wednesday after his 30-month-old son was seen walking around outside, barefoot and dressed only in a sleeper, Erie County sheriff's deputies
reported.

Deputies said it was wet and cold outside when a neighbor spotted the toddler walking in the parking lot of Town Hall Terrace Apartments at about 9 a.m. The boy's father, Dennis S. Webb, 31, of Whitehaven Road, was charged with endangering the welfare of a child.

The child was turned over to Child Protective Services. Webb was issued an appearance ticket to appear in Town Court.
