National Fuel has announced several promotions. Jay W. Lesch and Richard C. Fiorella have been promoted to superintendents in the Operating Division. Both formerly were assistant superintendents. Lesch holds a bachelor's degree from Cornell University. Fiorella holds a bachelor's degree from the University at Buffalo and a master's degree in business administration from Canisius College. He also is a licensed professional engineer. R. Marshall Wingate has been promoted to sales manager in the energy services department. Formerly acting sales manager, he holds a bachelor's degree from Niagara University. Robert W. Sprague has been promoted to general manager in the energy services department. Previously acting general manager, he holds an associate's degree from Hudson Valley Community College and a bachelor's in business management from the University at Buffalo.

The Computer Publishers Association has presented a 1994 Achievement Award to Mrs. Peggy Stearns of Glenwood, a former Depew school computer specialist, for creating "The Graph Club," a computer program that in a humorous way instructs elementary school children how the many kinds of graphs help people make decisions. "The Graph Club" is the cover piece of the current brochure of Tom Snyder Productions, a Watertown, Mass., publisher of computer education software.

White Directory Publishers Inc. has announced several appointments. Cyril Alessi has been promoted to sales supervisor. Formerly an account executive, he holds a bachelor's degree in business management Buffalo State College. Beverly Barry, a former account executive, has been promoted to sales supervisor. She is a graduate of the University at Buffalo School of Management. Sue Civiletto has been promoted to customer service manager. She formerly was general credit manager. Brenda Mulvenna has been promoted to sales supervisor. Formerly an account executive, she has worked in the yellow page industry for 10 years. And, Brenda Reynolds has been appointed assistant controller. A certified public accountant, she is a graduate of Niagara University.

Rich Products Corp. has announced several appointments. James W. Whalen has been named manager of contract manufacturing, operations department. Formerly a manager at Ernst & Young, he holds a bachelor's degree from the University at Buffalo and a master's in business management from Canisius College. James Beauregard has been promoted to senior research technician II bakery technology, research and development. He holds a bachelor's degree in food systems management from Buffalo State College. Paula S. Valentino has been promoted to general accountant, corporate accounting. Formerly a junior accountant, she holds an associate's degree from Erie Community College and attends Buffalo State College. Barbara Coleman has been appointed financial analyst-international finance. She holds a bachelor's degree in history from the University at Buffalo. And, Judith A. Kwietniewski has been promoted to manager, international finance. She previously was senior financial analyst for the International Group. A certified public accountant, Ms. Kwietniewski holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from Canisius College and a master's in international management/finance from the University at Buffalo.

New Horizons Computer Learning Center of Amherst has announced several promotions. Dave Warrington has been promoted to general manager. Previously, he spent 20 years in the MIS departments of M&T and Marine Midland banks. Kathleen A. Galla has been promoted to marketing manager. She formerly was corporate training director at Bryant & Stratton Business Institute. And, Rhonda E. McGuire has been promoted to education manager. She formerly was an application instructor. Ms. McGuire also is a faculty member at Niagara County Community College.
