The 1995 MUD Day (Meet Us Downtown) will be celebrated Saturday in the South Dayton Firemen's Activities Hall and Village Park with an array of desserts, crafts, quilts, antiques and afternoon music. The events begin at 9:30 a.m. in the Firemen's Hall when Girl Scouts will register entries in the annual dessert contest.

The entires should contain either chocolate, molasses or maple syrup and be delivered in non-returnable containers. The desserts will be judged at 11:30 with prizes awarded to the top three. All desserts will be auctioned off with the proceeds
assigned to park improvement.

A chicken and biscuit midday meal will be sold with profits going to support the village's Fire Bells unit. A quilting demonstration and crafts and antique displays will be mounted. The Library Committee will sell T-shirts and the Cattaraugus County dairy princess will distribute samples. From 1 to 3 p.m. the Big Little Band will supply music.
