IN A JAM WITHOUT A DRUMMER

First, Pearl Jam canceled its summer tour. Now, drummer Dave Abbruzzese is leaving.

The parting, which is reportedly amicable, took place earlier this week, the group's manager, Kelly Curtis, said Wednesday. He didn't say why Abbruzzese decided to leave after two years with the grunge group.

The Seattle band is currently not touring or recording. The group had planned to launch a summer tour to promote its best-selling "Vs." album, but the plans fell through in a dispute with Ticketmaster.

Pearl Jam charged that steep service fees collected by the nation's largest ticket distributor would have made tickets to its concerts too expensive.
