The 11th annual dinner sponsored by the Niagara County Black Achievers Award Committee will be dedicated to the memory of Frank Bettino, a board member, who died this year. The dinner will be held at 7 p.m. today in Building G at Niagara County Community College, 3111 Saunders Settlement Road.

Forty-eight companies will be honored for sponsoring young people for college scholarships and recommending employees for achievement awards through the Niagara County Black Achievers.

The top platinum awards, based on years of involvement, will go to the Niagara Falls School Board, Niagara University and Niagara County Community College.

Gold awards will go to Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center, Marine Midland Bank People's Office of Niagara Falls, Carborundum Company, E.I. du Pont de Nemours, Niagara Gazette and the Niagara Community Center and Girls Club.
