The Village Board unanimously adopted a 1994-95 budget of $2,114,802 Monday night, calling for a tax increase of 37 cents per $1,000 of assessed valuation. Mayor Richard F. Soluri said that 26 cents of the increase came from voters approving the firefighter retirement plan in March.
The budget increased 5.5 percent from 1993-94, said Soluri. He attributed the increase to a cost of living raise of 4 percent for village employees and to an anticipated decrease of state aid.
Soluri said the average home's taxes will increase about $20. The tax levy for 1994-95 will be $485,677.
