Samuel DeMonico, 74, of 29th Street, a retired Olin Corp. employee and a native of Niagara Falls, died Thursday (April 21, 1994) in Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center.

DeMonico served with the U.S. Army in the Aleutian Islands and in Europe from 1940 to 1945. He retired from the maintenance department at Olin in 1983 after 37 years of service. He also worked at the former Niagara Wallpaper Co.

He was a member of the Olin Retirement Club.

Survivors include his wife, the former Anne H. Zalinski; a daughter, Sylvia Long of North Tonawanda; and a granddaughter.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 1413 Pine Ave., following prayers at 10 in M.J. Colucci & Son Funeral Chapel, 468 19th St. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
